Current: Creating Beautiful Smiles as an Associate Specialist Orthodontist
Currently I work in two private practices that offer challenging cases and invaluable learning opportunities. Before this, I dedicated time within the National Health Service. My focus was on developing my expertise whilst providing orthodontic services for children in less affluent areas, an aspect of my career that I find most rewarding.
Recent Past: Specialist Orthodontic Training
In the years from 2013 to 2016, I pursued specialist training as an Orthodontic Registrar at Royal London and Southend Hospitals. It wasn’t an easy path; the competition for the limited training positions was fierce. But resilience and dedication led me to complete my specialist training under the mentorship of renowned consultants. This intensive period resulted in a Masters in Orthodontics and Royal College of Surgeons accreditation.
Early Years: Laying the Foundation for Expertise
During the period of 2008 to 2013, I held diverse positions across NHS General Practice, Paediatric Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. This diverse journey across the country—from Hastings to Eastbourne, Brighton to Bristol—was crucial not just for building my expertise but also for securing a coveted spot in Registrar training.
Starting Point: A Personal Journey Through Dentistry
My journey in dentistry began at King’s College London from 2002 to 2008. Although my undergraduate training took an additional year due to mental well-being challenges, this experience has added depth to my perspective. It has taught me to value things differently and has become a crucial part of my personal and professional growth.
