Are ceramic braces as effective as metal braces?
Yes, ceramic braces are just as effective as metal braces in treating almost all orthodontic cases.
Who is a good candidate for ceramic braces?
Adults or teens who prefer a more discreet orthodontic treatment while still achieving the same results as traditional braces.
Are ceramic braces more expensive than metal braces?
Ceramic braces typically cost more than metal braces due to the materials used and depending on the treatment plan.
Do ceramic braces stain?
Damon Clear does not stain. Normal ceramic brackets need plastic ties to avoid staining. However, any plastic items : elastic ties and power chains, may stain if exposed to foods like coffee, tea, or curry. These can be changed regularly during adjustments.
Do ceramic braces feel the same as steel braces?
How they feel is not a factor. Ceramic braces in some clients can initially feel a bit bulky to which they adapt in a week. This is because ceramic brackets are 0.3 mm thicker needed for additional strength.
What is the additional cost for ceramic braces?
Standard open brackets cost an additional is £550 and Damon Clear is £650
How do I get started?
We recommend removing your aligners while eating or drinking anything other than water to maintain oral hygiene and aligner integrity.
