2D Lingual Braces with Gum Disorder

This  lady was unfortunate to have movement and migration of the teeth in the upper and lower jaw, complicated by bone loss and gum recession.

She was 56 when she commenced orthodontics and she wanted an ‘invisible brace’ for the upper teeth and a discrete brace for the lower teeth. Cost was a factor. We opted for a 2D lingual brace for the upper teeth and a Damon clear for the lower teeth – we felt this would be appropriate when bone level was compromised.

In 11 visits, we obtained the result she wanted.
