Incognito, Teeth Sticking Out

This lovely 26-year-old client came to FIRST Ortho seeking a solution for upper teeth, which were sticking out, and the irregular lower teeth. She wanted straighter teeth but did not want the brace to show at all, as she was an architect supervising a lot of men on building sites. She felt that with her youthful appearance a metal brace would make her feel like a teenager and wanted to present herself with confidence and knowing they were listening to her rather than looking at her brace.

She had protrusion, a deep bite and crowding. These issues affected her confidence.

After a thorough assessment, Dr Patel discussed her options. These being aligners and the lingual Incognito brace. Incognito braces were the option for convenience, comfort, being completely hidden while delivering incredible and exacting results compared to aligners.

Treatment took 16 months

Dr Patel designed a thin brace to minimise impact on her speech.

She adapted well to the incognito system, with minimal discomfort and inconvenience. Progress was visible as the teeth began aligning beautifully. Her confidence increased rapidly as she become secure of the expected result.

In just 16 months, the patient achieved a straight and natural looking smile and healthy gums.

She no longer felt conscious of her protrusive and irregular teeth.
